About Our Practice in Oakville, ON

Dr. Gallagher received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph in 2004. She then went on to the University of Waterloo and graduated in 2008 with her Doctorate of Optometry. During her training, Dr. Gallagher completed an internship at Eye Associates of Pinellas in Pinellas Park, Florida. While in Florida, Dr. Gallagher gained valuable clinical experience while working alongside ophthalmologists, including retina and glaucoma specialists.

After graduation, Dr. Gallagher joined a group practice in Guelph, where she worked for 5 years. Dr. Gallagher has also worked as a clinical supervisor for optometry students at both the University of Waterloo and the International Optometric Bridging Program. She has also worked at TLC Laser Eye Centres, providing patient consultations for laser vision correction and post-operative care. Dr. Gallagher also has a passion for our youngest patients and enjoys seeing children of all ages, including babies as young as 6 months.

Dr. Gallagher grew up in Milton from the age of 7 and is now very happy to provide eye care in the Halton region. She lives in Milton with her husband and 2 young boys. Dr. Gallagher and her husband love the outdoors and being active. They enjoy backcountry canoe camping, skiing, and CrossFit.

Dr. Sandra Ho received her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Waterloo. During her studies, she completed an ocular disease and therapeutics externship at the Eye Associates of Pinellas in Florida, where she worked alongside cataract, retina, and oculoplastic specialists. She received extensive training in the diagnosis and management of diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other ocular diseases. Dr. Ho has also completed primary care externships in Vaughan and Mississauga, focusing on ocular disease and pediatric care.

Dr. Ho enjoys volunteer work and has travelled to Nicaragua on an optometric mission trip to provide eye care to the underprivileged. She is passionate about delivering quality eye care to her patients. Dr. Ho believes that annual eye exams and patient education are crucial to maintaining eye health.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, reading, and trying new recipes. She is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.

Dr. Laura Marno received her Honours Bachelor of Science from McMaster University in 2020. She then earned her Doctorate of Optometry with Dean’s Honours at the University of Waterloo and was awarded the CooperVision Contact Lens Award for excellence in contact lens care.

She is passionate about providing patient-centred care and comprehensive eye examinations to patients of all ages. Dr. Marno completed externships across Ontario as part of her training, gaining valuable clinical experience in primary care and ocular disease management. She has a special interest in dry eye treatment, contact lenses, myopia control, and co-management of refractive surgery. Dr. Marno is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys travelling, baking, and spending time with friends and family. She is also a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan!

Sandy has over 20 years in the eyecare industry, working as an optometric assistant. She has extensive knowledge of lens options and will make sure you are well-informed before making your next eyewear purchase. Sandy enjoys fun, colourful frames and gets excited about finding the perfect frame for every patient!

Stephanie works in all aspects of our clinic operations. You can find her at the front desk and pre-testing, as well as working in our optical boutique, doing frame selection, orders, and glasses repairs. In 2020, Stephanie completed the Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant course and is now a designated CCOA. Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children and watching them play baseball and soccer. Stephanie is here to help you with all aspects of your eye care needs!

Lesley is a dedicated front desk receptionist with over 7 years of experience in the optometric industry. She is responsible for managing phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries, while keeping day-to-day front desk operations running smoothly. Lesley works closely with patients, assisting with preliminary testing and visual field assessments, and always approaches her role with care and compassion to help patients feel comfortable and at ease.

Known for her friendly demeanour and strong organizational skills, Lesley is committed to continuous growth and learning. She consistently takes on additional responsibilities to support both patients and the clinical team. Her background includes post-secondary education at Humber College, where she completed studies in interior decorating, contributing to her strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills. 

Lesley takes pride in providing exceptional patient care and being a reliable, approachable presence within the practice.

Teresa joined us in June 2012, bringing with her many years of experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant in Toronto and 18 years as a senior assistant in a very busy optometric practice. She is happy to be a part of this team and looks forward to helping you choose the right eyewear or sunwear for your particular needs.

Teresa has an incredible eye for picking fashionable eyewear, and she enjoys contact lens training.

Leah is an optometric assistant involved in preliminary testing and visual field testing for all patients, providing thorough and attentive care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Global Health from York University, and spent a few years working as a flight attendant before finding her way to optometry.

Leah enjoys continually learning about overall ocular health and the scientific aspects of ocular testing. She strives to provide each patient with a kind, patient, and caring experience and is grateful to be part of the amazing team at Bronte Village Eye Care. 

Outside of work, Leah enjoys working out, running, and playing tennis.
